Frequently Asked Questions

Reimbursements are processed by the 25th calendar day of the following month. Example: You completed charging sessions in May. They will be reimbursed by 25 June.

All charging sessions received in the system by the 3rd calendar day of the following month are reimbursed. At locations with poor mobile reception (such as underground car parks or parking garages), the charging station may not always be able to synchronize charging sessions immediately and may only transmit them later in the following month. In this case, the charging sessions will be reimbursed in the second following month.

Not every charging station model synchronises the charging processes once reception has been restored; therefore, to be on the safe side, please restart your charging station (switch off the power, then switch the power and fuse back on)

Example: You completed charging sessions in May. The charging station does not synchronize them until 10 June. These charging sessions will then be reimbursed by 25 July.

If your charging station was sold and installed by BKW, please contact mobility@bkw.ch. For all other charging stations, please contact your installer or your fleet operator.

Yes. In most cases, charging badges provided by the wallbox manufacturer are included. Charging sessions made with these badges are not reimbursed.

At the beginning of each month and, if applicable, again during the month if charging sessions from the previous month are synchronized later due to poor network reception.

The reimbursement only includes charging sessions from the previous month that have been recorded in the system by the 3rd calendar day of the following month. If charging sessions are received later, receipts will still be generated, but those charging sessions will only be considered for reimbursement in the second following month. Example: You completed charging sessions throughout May. The charging station synchronizes the sessions from the first half of May and then loses its connection to the system. After the issue has been resolved, it synchronizes the remaining May charging sessions on 10 June. You will receive a receipt on 11 June, but the reimbursement for those sessions will not be paid until July.

The NRGkick synchronizes its internal clock with the backend system whenever an Internet or backend connection is available. If charging takes place over an extended period in an underground garage without network coverage, the NRGkick does not have access to the current time. However, it still records all available information, especially the charged energy and the duration of each charging session (e.g. 10 hours, 8 hours, or 12 hours). Once it reconnects to the network—for example on 2024-11-28 at 10:29:39—the charging sessions are reconstructed retrospectively in a "daisy-chain" sequence. As a result, the start time of one charging session is shown immediately after the end time of the previous one. Without power, the NRGkick cannot keep its internal clock running because it has no built-in battery. This design decision was made intentionally to avoid battery replacement after a few years and to ensure a maintenance-friendly product.
